2021 SG Julia Cosalan player profile

2021 5’7 SG Julia Cosalan, Bonita Vista High School, Chula Vista CA, is an emerging prospect out of San Diego County who will compete on the Adidas Guantlet with EBO black this spring and summer. Cosalan had a breakout sophomore campaign for the Lady Barons as she averaged 15.3PPG, 3.1RPG and 2APG, while being an integral piece to the Lady Barons run to a consecutive Metro league title and a first ever birth in the San Diego CIF open division playoffs. We have seen Julia play on multiple occasions over the past two seasons and have seen the progression in her game as she shoots the mid range and three ball well, handles the ball above average, which only enhances her recruitment as she can play the 1 and 2 positions.

Julia Cosalan recently competed in the Cal Sparks Cali Classic on April 13-14, 2019 at Mater Dei High School, Santa Ana California and had a good showing against several of the top rated players in Nevada, California and Arizona. Cosalan has improved  on the defensive side of the ball and has added some strength and size to her frame. Cosalan is also a high academic student as she possesses a GPA upwards of 3.8 In AP classes as well as participating in community service in the Chula Vista community. We will keep an eye out on Julia in the next coming seasons as she is starting to draw interest from schools.

In the assessment of several of our writers, Julia Cosalan may be one of the best if not the best prospect in the class of 2021 and San Diego County. Stay tuned for more player profiles on our site.
