Latahemo “Lata” Fakahafua is an intriguing prospect that we have had the pleasure of watching several times in the last few months.Lata is what we consider to be one of the top under the radar prospects in the Las Vegas Valley, as she has a high motor, is extremely coachable and can score in a number of ways. Fakahafua has battled through injury her freshman season and the loss of her sophomore campaign due to the covid pandemic, but hopes to have a breakout season with the Lady Diamondbacks of Desert Oasis High School. In Fakahafua’s first outing of the 2021/22 season against Arbor View High, she tallied 18 points and 11 rebounds for her first double/double of the year. College coaches should take note as Fakahafua’s recruiting begins to take shape.
